The clip got so much traction that the Dolphins decided to release a full-length highlight of Jerome Baker’s audio from the Dolphins’ 26-18 victory over the New York Jets.

Baker’s energy is undeniable — and particularly enviable when considering he’s playing on an 0-7 football team. It is pretty easy to see why Baker was a player this offseason who received rave reviews from the Dolphins’ coaching staff, given his leadership, positivity, communication skills and most importantly his playmaking ability on the football field.
Not only were Baker’s “mic’d up” highlights terrific, his play on the field against New York was arguably his best work of the season so far. Baker is already on pace to eclipse 100 tackles for the season and set career highs in tackles for loss, QB hits and passes defensed. Miami fans everywhere should be super excited to see him continue to grow into a more prominent presence on the Dolphins defense for years to come.
And more entertaining “mic’d up” highlights would definitely be fine with us.
