Dolphins hosting a pair of potential first round prospects

The Miami Dolphins have three days remaining to host 2019 NFL Draft prospects at the team facility and they’ve saved some of the best for last. According to the Miami Herald, both Florida offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor and Michigan linebacker Devin Bush will visit Miami.

Adding either Taylor or Bush the mix here in Miami would be an exciting move, as both are widely considered one of the two best players at their respective positions in this year’s NFL Draft.

Taylor, who took big steps forward in 2018 under new head coach Dan Mullen and his staff, would be the perfect replacement for Ja’Wuan James — Taylor is more athletically gifted and has a much higher ceiling as an all-around player.

Bush, on the other hand, would step into a linebacker group that features several long-term contributors. Raekwon McMillan and Jerome Baker figure to be pieces the Dolphins can build around on the front seven for years to come. Bush would serve as a presumed heir to Kiko Alonso, who is nearing the end of his contract.

Miami, for all of their holes on the roster, can take the best player available, whoever that may be. Neither Taylor or Bush project to last until the Dolphins pick at 13, but if they’re on the board the Dolphins have the “luxury” of just attacking talent and not having to consider need.
