Dolphins host annual Nat Moore Endowment Fund golf tournament

The Miami Dolphins’ campaign to make the surrounding community a better place continued yesterday with the hosting of Nat Moore’s annual Endowment Fund golf tournament.

The tournament is dedicated to raising money to help ensure underprivileged youth in South Florida are put in a position to continue their education and set themselves up for successful careers thereafter.

We’ve seen Miami host youth flag football tournaments earlier this winter, but it was a different set of participants this time around that provided a little bit more flair to the occasion.

Former star receiver Nat Moore was (obviously) in attendance, but so too was Dolphin great Sam Madison among others. When asked about the impact of these efforts, Madison talked about how being present in the community has allowed foresight with how to help.

“There’s a lot of families that are underserved as far as the educational system. Nat (Moore) grew up in this system…and for me being down here for the last twenty plus years and using my foundation as well as a lot of other former players, we’ve gone into these communities and we see what they are lacking.”

Moore’s goal with the Endowment Fund is to raise over $10 million in the next two years.
