Dolphins held private meeting with Michigan’s Chase Winovich

So much of the obsession over this 2019 off-season for the Dolphins has been over who will be playing quarterback that it is easy to forget that there are about ten to fifteen additional spots in the starting line-up that will be up for grabs as well.

One of those spots is the one that used to belong to Cameron Wake, who has packed his bags for a three year stint in Nashville with the Titans.

The Dolphins have done a ton of leg-work on defensive lineman throughout the Draft process (they met with nearly every DL you can think of at the NFL Combine) and that thorough approached continued ahead of the Michigan Pro Day, which took place on March 15th.

The Dolphins, according to Three Yards Per Carry, met with Michigan’s Chase Winovich prior to the Pro Day.

Winovich, “a full-on ball of energy”, serves as a potential chess piece for a defense and would be a welcomed reinforcement for the Dolphins. Remember, the Dolphins are still hoping to trade Robert Quinn this off-season and the team should count on getting nothing from frustrating end Charles Harris after two seasons of no production.

Miami’s Day 2 selections this year are currently slotted for 48th overall (second round) and 79th overall (third round).
