Dolphins DT Vincent Taylor says he has recovered from season-ending injury

Dolphins were hit hard by the injury bug during the 2018 season. Defensive tackle Vincent Taylor was among the players who suffered season-ending injuries as he hurt his foot in the Dolphins’ Oct. 25 game against the Texans.

This week, Taylor tweeted out he has been cleared by doctors to resume all football activities.

“All the hard work I’ve been putting in with the trainers, just to be cleared, it feels good,” Taylor said at the Dolphins Cancer Challenge Golf Tournament on Friday. “I’m ready for April 1, when we start workouts. I’ll be doing everything. It just feels good to be cleared.”

Taylor missed the Dolphins last eight games of the 2018 season because of the foot injury. In the eight games he played, Taylor registered 27 tackles and two sacks. Taylor believes he was headed to a breakout season if he had stayed healthy.

“There’s no telling what my numbers would have been if I would have stayed healthy,” Taylor said. “But I think that was like a taste of what I can do. I’m looking forward to getting into this new system and get back to football.”
