Dolphins draft DL Jason Strowbridge with pick No. 154

A busy weekend for the Miami Dolphins has continued on Saturday — after executing zero trades in the first two days of the 2020 NFL Draft, Miami has now flipped two deals this afternoon in an effort to make the most of the team’s remaining NFL Draft capital.

Day 3 of the NFL Draft has brought OG Solomon Kindley via a 4th-round pick and veteran RB Matt Breida to the Dolphins — and now the team is bouncing back to the defensive side of the football with their next selection.

With the 154th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins have selected North Carolina defensive lineman Jason Strowbridge.

Strowbridge is a bit of a tweener after spending much of his time with the Tar Heels working as an interior defensive lineman. He figures to project as an edge defender in the Dolphins’ multiple front defense — look for him to learn and develop behind Emmanuel Ogbah and Shaq Lawson throughout the early portions of his NFL career. Miami’s priorities clearly lie in the trenches after their “evaluation” season in 2019.
