Dolphins continue strong public outreach efforts with “5000 Role Models”

These Miami Dolphins have been making the absolute most of their 2019 offseason. Not by partying or being aloof, but rather by being beacons of hope and positivity for the South Florida community. The Dolphins have participated in or sponsored a great number of public outreach initiatives over the past few months.

These efforts range from charity golf outings, fundraisers for cancer, donating football equipment to local high schools and more. Yesterday marked Miami’s latest sponsored event — the Dolphins hosted the “5000 Role Models” Police and Youth Conference.

This initiative is designed to help promote healthy, positive interactions between the young people of South Florida and the local law enforcement.

The turnout for the event was terrific, which the team hosted at Hard Rock Stadium. Miami Dolphins vice-chairman, president and CEO Tom Garfinkel was on hand to oversee the initiative, which will not be the last public outreach event the Dolphins partake in before the summer is over.

On deck? The Miami Dolphins Foundation will host a weekend of golf and fishing with active players, coaches and alumni on June 1st. The proceeds from the weekend will go towards scholarships continuing education.
