Dolphins CEO Tom Garfinkel reveals white throwback uniforms for 2019

The fans have spoken. And now, the Dolphins have listened. The Miami Dolphins’ aqua throwback uniforms have been some of the best looking kits in all of football ever since the team debuted them. The problem? Ever since the team introduced the throwbacks into the jersey rotation, the fans have been begging and pleading with the Dolphins to phase in an opposing white look as well.

The wait is over. Miami Dolphins vice-chair, president and CEO Tom Garfinkel took to social media this morning to unveil the news. The Dolphins throwbacks are getting a second look — and they’ll be wearing them on September 15th against the New England Patriots.

Prepare your wallets accordingly. The biggest pressure the Dolphins will now face is the mounting consensus that these uniforms need to make a full-time return for Miami. After all, the team’s success as a franchise is associated with a similar look. The fact that the Dolphins have played up the throwback uniforms as much as they have in recent memory suggests they understand the draw and appeal of this look — but now? Having two separate sets of throwbacks to implement will only generate more buzz about making the switch.

Here’s hoping it’s only a matter of time before the Dolphins make this the official look of their team. Again.
