Dolphins awarded zero compensatory 2019 draft picks

With the NFL Combine quickly approaching, the NFL Draft landscape is coming into a more clear view. The NFL helped to aid that process this afternoon with their release of the 2019 NFL Draft compensatory picks.

For the Miami Dolphins, it is business as usual. The team was awarded zero extra selections for the 2019 NFL Draft.

Compensatory picks are assigned based on a formula that is meant to measure and weigh a team’s net gains or losses in free agency.

This marks the second consecutive year in which the Dolphins were not awarded a pick. They last received picks in 2017 for their free agent losses of Olivier Vernon (to the Giants), Lamar Miller (to the Texans) and Rishard Matthews (to the Titans).
