Dolphins announce Hurricane Dorian relief collections

The entire state of Florida held its breath at Hurricane Dorian slowly crept up onto the doorstep of the state before slowing and gradually creeping up the coast. But the Bahamas took the brute force of the storm head-on, exacerbated by the way the storm slowed to almost a complete stop, circling overhead and just dumping its wrath onto the Caribbean islands.

The Dolphins have announced they’d like to help, now that the aftermath and damage is apparent. At today’s contest against the Baltimore Ravens and again next week when the Dolphins host the New England Patriots, Hard Rock Stadium will have six separate dropoff locations for items such as flashlights/batteries, diapers and feminine hygiene products.

These Dolphins were as active as any team in the NFL this summer in efforts to give their time and energy to the South Florida community. They’ll continue their efforts in being a beacon of positivity for a whole new community at the start of this season — one that desperately needs all the help it can get in the aftermath of the storm.
