The Miami Dolphins have wrapped up their rookie minicamp, organized team activities and mandatory minicamps and will return to the Baptist Health Training Complex near the end of July to prepare for the 2023 regular season.
Before that, we’ll be going through the majority of Miami’s roster to preview their background, projected role and bottom line with the team entering training camp.
After looking at some quarterbacks, running backs and three receivers, we’ll move on to the team’s most recent addition to the receiver room – Robbie Chosen.

Background
Chosen originally entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2016 with the New York Jets after a collegiate career at Temple. At the time, Chosen went by Robby Anderson. He changed his name to Robbie Anderson in 2022 and then to Chosen Anderson in February 2023 before landing on Robbie Chosen before the start of minicamp.
The wideout recorded 207 receptions for 3,059 yards and 20 touchdowns in his four seasons with the Jets.
Signing with the Panthers in 2020, Chosen had his best season, recording 95 receptions for 1,096 yards and three scores. However, over the following two years, his numbers dipped, resulting in a trade to the Arizona Cardinals during the 2022 season.
Expected Role
Chosen is fighting for the third wide receiver role during training camp behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. His competition will mainly be Braxton Berrios and Cedrick Wilson Jr. who both have familiarity with the system.
Bottom Line
At 30 years old, Chosen is really hoping to cash in one more time at the end of the 2023 season. Having Tua Tagovailoa as his quarterback after playing with Sam Darnold, Cam Newton, P.J. Walker, Trace McSorley, David Blough and Colt McCoy over the last two years should be a significant upgrade.
Chosen has impressed so far through organized team activities and minicamp, so he may have more of a role in Miami’s offense than some imagined when he originally signed for just $1.32 million over one year.
