Dolly Parton has said that she would like to appear on the cover of Playboymagazine again when she celebrates her 75th birthday.
The singer, who turned 74 on 19 January, expressed her wish during a recent interview with 60 Minutes Australia.
When asked what she would consider her “retirement age”, Parton said she isn’t planning on retiring at all.
“I just turned 74,” the “Jolene” singer said. “I plan to be on the cover of Playboy magazine again.”
The musician then reminisced about the last time she was featured on the publication’s cover in October 1978.
“See, I did Playboy magazine years ago. I thought it’d be such a hoot if they’ll go for it, I don’t know if they will,” she said.
“If I could be on the cover again when I’m 75.”
For her previous feature in Playboy magazine, Parton appeared on the cover wearing the classic Playboy bunny outfit of a leotard and bunny ears.
The magazine was released when Parton was 32 years old.
In February last year, Parton spoke out about the body image issues that affect many young girls.
While being interviewed on BBC Newsnight, the country musician said: “Everybody can’t have a movie star’s body and I worry about young girls and their image.
“And this is causing a lot of problems. There’s a lot of suicide, a lot of depression, a lot of kids getting on drugs and alcohol because they think they have to measure up to who the stars are.”
Parton, who is globally recognisable for her bouffant blonde hair and ornate outfits, added that she feels “more comfortable looking the way I do”.
