Dolly Parton just made cast iron cool again with a playful twist – here’s how to steal her style for under $60

Dolly Parton.

Cast iron cookware is a kitchen purchase that should be considered carefully, with specs and longevity being major factors. However, Dolly Parton's latest drop with Lodge Cast Iron proposes that playful design should be top of mind, too.

The country superstar first joined forces with the heritage cookware brand last year, and now, she has unveiled a few new items, including a butterfly cake pan, a large skillet embossed with 'I beg your Parton?', and a medium skillet that says 'What would Dolly do?' Needless to say, it's the cast iron cookware we didn't know we needed.

With all items under $60, these pans are affordable yet durable, with Lodge's legacy preceding it (the brand began in 1896!).

Known for their pre-seasoned pans, Lodge's cookware is handcrafted in Tennessee (thus, the Dolly connection). The pans are compatible with any stovetop (including induction), oven, grill, or campfire, making them an incredibly versatile addition to the kitchen.

The Dolly designs take them beyond their function, however, and prime them to be used as decor. The pan handles conveniently feature holes, making them fantastic for hanging on a pot rack or even on a wall hook. Many of the pieces are also highly illustrative, with Dolly, musical instruments, and butterflies adorning the bottom of the different pans, as well as lighthearted phrases and lyrics.

Other designs include a guitar-shaped trivet and a heart-shaped skillet, both of which give a fun twist on a traditional, circular silhouette.

When it comes to cleaning cast iron, Lodge keeps it simple: according to their website, they instruct us to wash, dry, and oil. This includes handwashing with warm water and a scrub brush (as well as dish soap, if preferred), allowing the piece to air dry, then coating it with a light layer of oil.
