Dolly Parton, 77, parades ageless beauty as she makes super rare public appearance

Global singing sensation Dolly Parton has made a rare press appearance, with the US songstress appearing not to have aged a day.

Dolly, 77, appeared in London for a press event with her trademark blonde bouffant hairstyle and eye-catching style as she wore a pink and silver outfit and silver thigh-high boots.

The 9 to 5 singer is currently on a press trip in the UK to promote her debut rock record 'Rockstar'.

The album features collaborations with some of the music industry's biggest names including Sir Paul McCartney, Aerosmith's Steve Tyler, Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon, Lizzo and her goddaughter Miley Cyrus.

Appearing on stage in London, Dolly looked her usual glamorous self with her trademark makeup and hairstyle, as well as going for a more edgy look in keeping with her new 'Rockstar' album.

The acclaimed singer wore an off-the-shoulder studded pink and silver top that highlighted her ample cleavage, which she paired with silver leggings and silver thigh-high boots.

Dolly's love of high heels is well known, with the singer measuring under 5 feet, and the star has previously expressed her love for stilettos and adding height to her demure frame as she said: "I actually do wear high heels most of the time. They’re not always as high as the ones I wear for show. But I’m little. I’m short. And I have to wear heels in order to reach my cabinets.

"But I always enjoy wearing the shoes too, and I just feel more like me. But I can come down, though. I’m comfortable in my own skin; I’m comfortable with my image. I dress for myself more than I do for somebody else."

Dolly's appearance comes after fan speculation grew that she might be called up by Glastonbury headliner Elton John to appear during his set on the festival's Pyramid Stage.

With Dolly's latest album featuring Sir Elton as well as Sting, Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Ringo Starr, fans thought that Dolly and Elton could well perform together at Worthy Farm.

The pair have previously shared a stage including at the Country Music Awards 2005, where they sang The Beatles band member John Lennon’s hit song 'Imagine'.
