Dolly Menga returns to Livingston after Atletico Petroleos loan deal cut short

Livingston have announced that Angolan international Dolly Menga has returned to the club for the second half of the season.

The flamboyant attacker thrilled and frustrated in equal measure during his first campaign in Scotland last term - famously netting the winner against Rangers. However, he moved on loan to Angolan outfit Atletico Petroleos de Luanda in the summer in a bid to force his way back into the national side.

That didn't go to plan and he returns to West Lothian aiming to force his way back into the Livi line-up.

A statement from the club said: "Livingston FC can tonight confirm that, subject to International Clearance, forward Dolly Menga has been recalled from his loan spell at Angolan side Atletico Petroleos de Luanda and will return to The Tony Macaroni Arena for the second half of the season.

"The club were of the belief that a return to West Lothian was in the best interest of both Dolly and Livingston FC and took the decision to activate the recall clause in the loan deal.

"Dolly is due to arrive back in the country shortly and will hook up with his teammates for training next week."
