Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has revealed his frustration at losing to Trent Alexander-Arnold during shooting practice.
The England during regular contest shooting competitions in training at Melwood and despite Oxlade-Chamberlain boasting seven goals to his name this season, it's the right-back Alexander-Arnold who regularly comes out on top.
Speaking in a Instagram live Q&A with Colossal Sports Management, he admitted that Alexander-Arnold get the better of him.
Asked who was the better in front of goal, he said: "I'd really like to say me. And I'm still backing myself. But in shooting sessions he beats me all the time.
"We always have a competition in training and I don't know why but he always beats me.
"It's doing my head in. He's got a strike on him."
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old, who is self isolating with partner Perrie Edwards, also claimed that central midfield is his favourite position - pinpointing the "number eight role" as his preferred place on the pitch.
Answering a question he is regularly asked, he said: "What is my favourite position? I'm going to have to say central midfield.
"i've been asked for this for years and years. It's central midfield. Number eight."
Oxlade-Chamberlain also gave an insight into how he's keeping fit during isolation.
He added: "We've been sent a programme from Liverpool which we're all following.
"I had to buy a treadmill to do a bit of running on. I've been doing sprints in underground car park, out in the street, and I found a park nearby. Anywhere."
