Over 40 celebrities graced a blue carpet leading into Moonstar Studio, where Unicef Thailand staged a charity TV show, broadcast live last Sunday night on Channel 7 HD.

The Blue Carpet Show featured performances by Nichkhun Horvejkul, Palitchoke "Peck" Ayanaputra, Tanida Tumvimol aka Da Endorphine and BNK48, with Jakkawal Saothongyutitum as music director.

Nichkhun and Palitchoke raised issues of child poverty in Thailand and malnutrition in Kenya, conveyed through two short films.

The other four films portraying Rohingya children, child survival in India, malaria in Kenya and Thai children with disabilities respectively feature Unicef Goodwill Ambassador Anand Panyarachun, Puttachat Pongsuchat, Pechaya Wattanamontri and Choi Siwon.

Marking Unicef's 70th anniversary, The Blue Carpet Show raised 14 million baht in donations from the TV audience.
