DOI's Alex Demetrious's cryptic post after confirming break down of his marriage

Dancing On Ice star Alex Demetriou has shared a cryptic post about letting go of stress after confirming that he's split from his wife.

Alex and Carlotta Edwards, also a DOI skater, had been married for four years, but Alex feels that their decision to go their separate was is "best for the both of [them]."

During his most recent DOI stint, in which he took to the ice with Love Island's Maura Higgins, Alex was met with a number of rumours that the pair had developed a romantic bond - something they've both denied.

Now the hunky skater has taken to social media to post about cutting loose from stress.

"Ocean breeze and the sun is out. What more can you ask for? Best time yet as well. #freethemind #isolation #blackpool."

He shared a lengthy post announcing he and Carlotta had called time on their marriage, penning: "I'm sorry I have been quiet on social media recently but it's been a tough time personally for me.
