Dogs Trust West Calder: 'Sausage loving' Scooby is on the hunt for his forever home

An adorable 'sausage loving' dog is looking for his forever home this winter.

Scooby, a five year old Terrier-cross, has appealed to local families to consider taking him home.

Described by Dogs Trust as a "friendly and affectionate" animal, Scooby is currently living at their rehoming centre in West Calder.

According to staff there, he is looking for a rural environment where he won't come into much contact with any other dogs.

A lover of the outdoors and staying active, Scooby is said to adore being in the company of his owners, but is also house trained and fine to be home alone for a few hours.

Staff have also described Scooby as an "super cute and very clever" dog, who can happily learn a trick or two "especially if sausages are on offer."

As he is a rescue dog, an ideal home for Scooby would be with people who have had similar dogs before, and would need to be in an adult only environment.

To burn off some steam, he would also need direct access to his own secure garden with where he can enjoy off lead play.

Currently due to coronavirus restrictions, the rehoming process is a little different, however the centre are still looking to find new families for their canine residents.
