Dogs Trust West Calder: Adorable one-eyed Hugo looking for new home to sunbathe in

A 'loving and happy' dog is searching for a new home, according to the Dogs Trust in West Calder.

Described as a "bundle of energy" by staff at the centre, little Hugo, a French Bulldog, is looking for somewhere to settle his weary paws for the foreseeable future.

Estimated to be aged somewhere between two and five years, Hugo now only has one eye, but this hasn't stopped him from being full of life and a great companion.

A confident dog, Hugo is happy meeting other dogs on walks, and is not afraid of new scenarios and situations.

He is also said to love a good sunbathing session, playing with his toys or snuggling up on the sofa for a cuddle.

However, Hugo is looking for owners who are used to dogs and have quite a calm adult only home and environment.

Any future owners would need to ensure that Hugo would be the only dog in the home, and would also need to have a secure garden with a 5ft fence.

Dogs Trust have also advised that Hugo does have some health issues and will need lots of TLC and ongoing care in his new home with owners who are used to this.

Speaking about Hugo, they said:

"Hugo is house-trained, travels well in the car and has been okay being left at home for a few hours once he is settled. Hugo loves his treats and is always excited when he sees you coming."
