Dogs Trust Pupcake Day is back and here's how you can bake a difference

Dubliners, get your aprons and cake tins out as the Dogs Trust annual bake sale is back!

The animal charity is urging people to hold their own bake sale to help raise vital funds and save the lives of dogs that need their help the most.

Selling just 24 cupcakes can help feed an entire litter of puppies and their mum for a week.

And all proceeds from Pupcake Day, which will take place on October 4, will be going to rescue vulnerable dogs.

By registering to take part, bakers will receive a ‘Pupcake Pack’ with bunting and adorable cake toppers and details for a downloadable guide, full of tips on how to run your bake sale and even a few recipes (both human and dog friendly*) to try on the day.

Katie O’Neill, fundraising officer at Dogs Trust, said: “We simply could not continue our life saving work without the incredible public support we receive.

“Pupcake Day is one of our favourite days of the year, which also has an incredible impact for our Rehoming Centre.

“As we receive no Government funding, our supporters are the secret ingredient to help us continue saving the lives of stray and vulnerable dogs just like the adorable litter of puppies pictured with Aisling who were abandoned at a very young age, but are thankfully now safe in our care and will be going to their Forever Homes any day now.”

So to help bake a difference register here to get your Pupcake Pack.
