Adam Elliott insists Canterbury are just one win away from finding their mojo despite failing to score a point in their past 165 minutes of football.
The Bulldogs were one of just three teams to go through the first three rounds of winless, with only the 16 points they scored against Newcastle to their name.
Maligned for their attack under Dean Pay, the Bulldogs finished in the bottom three for offence in each of their three years under the former coach.
But despite their woes continuing under new mentor Trent Barrett, Elliott insisted it could click soon.
"We just haven't clicked yet, it's a new outfit for us," Elliott said.
It's just going to take one real good game for us to click and get a bit of confidence and have that belief in our attack and hopefully we can keep building from that.
"And geez it would be great for that to be Friday's game."
Last week's 24-0 loss to Brisbane was a new low for the Bulldogs, as they bombed several chances before their defence fell apart late.
With crowd restrictions lifted and 60,000 at the Easter Show next door, Friday's crowd at Stadium Australia is expected to be the biggest regular season attendance in Sydney since 2019.
There was no Good Friday match last year due to COVID-19, but the Bulldogs last victory in one came back in 2017 when Des Hasler was still in charge.
"You lose like (they did against Brisbane) you probably want to respond any game you play. You come in with a great attitude and there are things you want to fix," Elliott said.
"But just to add to it being the Good Friday clash with these guys. It's something I think about every year, it's the first game I look for in the calendar.
"It's a really exciting game, we always get a great crowd out there, long weekend. All the families get around it as well.:
