Dogs left home alone while terminally ill owner admitted to hospital are now ready for a new family together

A gentle pair of older Bichon Frises are desperate for a new home with a comfortable sofa to spend their final days.

At the ripe old ages of 13 and 14, they are calm, easy going dogs who just need someone to take them under their wing.

They are currently in a foster home under the care of Hope Rescue in Pontyclun where they have settled in well.

The duo were brought into the centre under sad circumstances after their terminally ill owner was taken into hospital and they were left home alone, with a relative popping in regularly to feed them.

As a result, both girls are now quite anxious about being left alone so need owners who can be there for them a lot of the time.

Missy, the older of the two at 14, has cataracts and has lost a fair bit of her vision so needs a home layout which will not change so she can easily navigate.

She relies a lot on Lolly, 13, for reassurance and to help her navigate.

Lolly also has cataracts, although not as severe and still has vision at the moment. She also has a grade two heart murmur which will need to be monitored.

The girls love human attention and are not shy of approaching someone for a fuss.

They get on with other dogs and could potentially live with cats and children too.

If you are interested in offering a home to Lolly and Missy, apply to Hope Rescue .
