As the country takes to the polls to vote in the European Parliament Elections, a number of Scots are taking along their pets.
The #dogsatpollingstations has gone viral as thousands of dog lovers across the country tweet pictures of their pooches as they go to vote.
It's a novel way to brighten up the day for those feeling a little dis-heartened with elections or suffering from voter fatigue.
All manners of breeds, ages, shapes and sizes of pets have already been spotted across Scotland - from fluffy white pooches to Collies and Greyhounds.
Andy Wightman MSP for Lothian even posted a selfie with his dog outside his local station this morning.
