Doggy day at Dogs Trust

The Dogs Trust West Calder is inviting local dog lovers and their four-legged-friends to their annual Family Fun Day on Sunday (August 25) - and you’d be barking mad to miss it.

Once again, this popular event will be held at West Lothian College in Livingston. All proceeds from the day will go towards the continued care of residents at the Rehoming Centre, including Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rocky.

Taking place between 12pm and 3pm, the event promises plenty of fun and games for everyone.

Events include the ever popular Fun Dog Show which starts at 12.30pm with classes running throughout the afternoon.

Competitions include Scoff the Sausage, Waggiest Taill, and Musical Mutts, so make sure your four-legged friends have their paws at the ready.

Other activities on the day include Temptation Alley and Doggy Dash.

There will also be various Dogs Trust stalls, including the popular tombola, a tarot reader and dogs trust merchandise; along with a host of other stalls including vegan skincare, Fairtrade organic chocolates and lots of treats for your pooch.

The event is suitable for all ages and children can enjoy playing ‘bark bingo’ and visiting our ‘K9 Kids Zone’.

Attendees will also be able to capture the moment forever with the pet photographer and there will be refreshments and ice cream available for all.

There is no entry fee except for a small donation of either a tin of dog food, treats or a toy.

Úna Race, supporter relations officer said: “There are all sorts of fun activities planned throughout the day so do come along and support Dogs Trust West Calder. We can promise you a really fun day out for all the family.”
