Dog walker spots 'UFO' after seeing bright light moving across the sky

A man taking his dogs out for a late night stroll was surprised to see a strange light that stopped and started in the sky.

Anthony Douglas, 30, was walking his dogs with his partner in Huyton just after midnight on Wednesday.

An unusual light moving across the sky caught his eye and so he started to record a video of the event with his phone.

Anthony told the ECHO : "I was playing Pokemon Go on my phone and for some reason I looked up and we both saw something going across the sky dead slow.

"When we looked there was a little one behind it but there was no flashing lights or nothing - it was nuts."

Anthony, who owns several Mastiffs among other large dogs, said he regularly walks them at night as it's easier.

The 50 second video that he shot tracks the small while light across the sky.

"Anthony's wife is then heard saying "it's stopping" as the light appears to slow to a halt before moving off on its path again. She can then be heard commenting "it's moving fast that" just after the light appears to move again.

"Near the end of the video Anthony's wife says "there's another one behind it following - a smaller one", before the video cuts off.

Anthony said: "I thought it was a shooting star at first, but when I watched it kept on moving across the sky dead slowly.

"As we were recording it the light stopped then started moving up and down, then started moving again, heading towards Manchester way."

Anthony said he is a believer in UFOs and has seen a few things he couldn't explain in the past.

He added: "We can't be the only life form on all the planets, there's so many out there. I think it's a bit strange not to believe in them.

"They're out there - we can't be the only things living.

"A couple of years ago when I was in hospital, we were stood outside and saw a little silver ball going across the sky as well.

"I got that on video as well, that was over Knotty Ash way."
