A dog walker has been left furious after an advert she placed in a parish magazine contained an error which saw her offering 'dog w***ing' services.
Lucy Hignett took out an advert in a parish magazine to drum up interest in her business Lead The Way, which she launched in September.
But the 19-year-old has said she has been on the receiving end of 'disgusting' messages after the typo was distributed in Thorndon, Suffolk.
The advert mistakenly went out with a bullet point changing Lucy's skills as a 'dog walker' to a 'dog w***er', while also offering dog and cat visits, including 'play, feeding and lots of TLC'.
Lucy told The Sun : “It’s an absolutely horrendous situation.
“This was not my error. My ad was all fine when I sent it.”
Lucy's mum Rachel Cattermole, who helped to design the advert, said her daughter has been getting a lot of calls, texts and emails - many of which have been supportive, but many which she described as 'disgusting'.
Editor of the Eye Magazine in which the advert appeared, Chris Willoughby, apologised for the error and said: "The printer and I have both expressed our sincere apologies.”
"We will be instituting more rigorous procedures.”
A worker at the printers said that it had been an honest mistake and 'no one did it maliciously'.
It's not the first time an advert has slipped through the net with an X-rated blunder, after an antiques dealer posted his owl ornament on eBay .
The listing contained a lovely picture of the owl up for sale, but its owner Ian had failed to realise it also showed the pornographic images on his laptop in the background.
He said it had been posted by mistake but argued it was 'nothing dodgy' and said: "I'm sure I'm not the first."
