Dog visits Co Tyrone butcher for special treats

She's fit a a butcher's dog and it's little wonder.

For this canny canine has become a bit of a celebrity in a Co Tyrone.

Known locally as Spot, she make regular visits to her favourite shop, just across the road from her Donaghmore home - and it is of course The Butchery owned by Owen Traynor.

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier waits to be escorted across the road and then waits for the traffic lights to stop before heading back home with a tasty treat.

Owen said: "We know her and her owner well. She's normally with him and she sits outside the shop waiting for a shin bone. I always have something for her. She just lives across the lane by us.

"Sometimes she comes over ahead of him. When she gets the marrow bones she waits until the button on the traffic lights is pressed and then off she goes back home to enjoy it."

Her owner Mateusz Wnek, said: "She is a beautiful dog and is called Kropka, or Spot in English. And yes her favourite person outside me is her butcher, Owen."
