Dog travels from Kentucky to Ireland to become part of Dublin-Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team

A dog is travelling from Kentucky to Ireland to become part of the team at Dublin-Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team.

Frank will become the fourth furry member of rescue squad, joining Grace, Layla and Willow.

He will be part of the Mantrailing team and will start his training once he gets to Ireland.

Dublin WIcklow Mountain Rescue Team said Frank will "hopefully one day becoming another lifesaving dog".

They said on Facebook: "All our handlers finance the transport, training, food and veterinary bills associated with the dogs so we would really like to thank Irish Ferries for their support with our Ferry costs and Claudio from Pet Cargo USA who between them will help Frank get here safely.

We are really excited to get Frank here and are looking forward to documenting his journey getting here, so stay tuned."
