Dog The Bounty Hunter has opened up about trying to get his family back togther and revealed girlfriend Moon Angell has moved out of the home he shared with his late wife.

The TV star - real name Duane Chapman - says his relatives are 'starting to work things out' after his daughter Lyssa was very vocal in her resentment towards his romance with Moon.

The famous bounty hunter claims that he and daughter Lyssa are back on speaking terms, before joking she was "one of my crazy daughters".

Duane told TMZ: "Yeah, I've spoken to Lyssa, we're good."

And after being asked if he sat down with his family to discuss their issues and work things out, Dog said: "Yeah we are, always. That's what families do, right?"

The bereaved reality star, 67, is still grieving the loss of his wife Beth Chapman to cancer last year, but looked set to open a new chapter of his life with Beth's ex-assistant Moon Angell.

However, after the humiliating appearance on US chat show Dr Oz - that saw Moon reject Dog's marriage proposal, the pair have mutually decided to split.

Moon has since moved out of Dog's Hawaiian mansion and taken her possessions with her - much to the delight of Dog's daughter Lyssa, who has been fiercely against their whirlwind relationship.

Lyssa tweeted on January 29: "I will not tweet. I will not tweet I will not tweet. I will not tweet."

But one fan gently took her to task, telling her: "I completely understand your plight and anger at all this. I am shocked. However I do understand a man’s need for a woman and not to be alone. There is a better choice for sure... and your dad deserves better than his choice. Praying for you all."

Lyssa hit back: "A need for a con artist?"
