Dog steals set of false teeth and wears them perfectly leaving owner in stitches

When a man bought himself a pair of false teeth to give himself a laugh in isolation, it worked out better than he could ever have imagined.

Ben Campbell, from Michigan, decided comically large teeth were just what he needed to cheer himself up, and perhaps hoped a few funny selfies could lift the spirits of others too.

Thankfully for us, Thomas the Yorkshire terrier had other plans - and the impromptu purchase has now brought a smile to hundreds of thousands of people instead.

When Ben, who works as psychologist, left the teeth unattended on the table, Thomas made his move.

When the pup grabbed the pair of teeth, it might have been expected that he chewed them into a hundred pieces.

Instead, he decided to simply carry them round the house in his mouth - and by some divine intervention, obviously knowing we could do with a laugh right now, he picked them up the right way round.

As a result, tiny Thomas was left with an oversized, beaming smile with teeth as white and straight as he could ever possibly dreamed of.

Ben decided to film his attempts at retrieving the teeth, which only made Thomas more determined to keep them - and he looked absolutely delighted with himself.

Ben snorts with laughter as his pearly white pup continues to give him the slip, asking: "Thomas, what are you doing?" as he struggles to breathe.

The terrier is determined to hang on to his new set of gnashers during the showdown, but his stubborn display fails to look anything but hilarious thanks to his charming new appearance.

The video has racked up hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube, as Thomas proved to be the hero we never knew we needed.

One wrote: "I just woke up my entire house laughing harder than I have ever. This was so unexpected it laughed me out of bed. My wife and kids are so mad, none of them will watch it and I still can't stop."
