Dog rescued from 140-feet cliff edge at popular Scottish waterfall

A DOG has been rescued from a cliff edge at the Falls of Foyers, a well-known waterfall near Loch Ness.

The dog had accidentally fallen from the cliff edge of the waterfall on Friday morning, before being rescued by the coastguard around 9.50am.

Coastguard rescue teams from Cromarty, Burghead and Inverness were called to the scene and successfully saved the dog, reuniting it with its owner.

With a drop of 140-feet that leads into a gorge, the Falls of Foyers, which is located by the village of Foyers, directly feeds into Loch Ness through the surrounding forests.
