A woman issued a warning to other pet owners after she claimed two strangers tried to steal her dogs.
The woman said she was on her way home from Garston Park when she was approached by two men.
She went on: "Not sure where they came from but they appeared in front of me.

"One asked if the other could have his photo taken with my dogs and put his hand out to take the lead. I moved away saying 'you can take a photo, but I'm not letting them go.'
"At this point they said something to each other that I didn't understand and walked away quickly.
"They were dressed in shorts, one had white wellies with patterns on. They looked really out of place, but sounded quite pleasant.
"I am in no doubt that they would have taken my dogs if I had handed them the lead. Just be careful if you are alone there with your dogs."
It follows similar incidents reported recently, including one where a woman claimed she was followed by a man who showed "too much interest in her dog" in Elleray Park, Wallasey, last week.
