Morgan Dale has a special bond with her dog Hugo.
When she hit rock bottom following a suicide attempt, he was the one she credits with pulling her back from the brink.
“I genuinely think without Hugo, I would not be here. I genuinely believe that", Morgan said.
"I say this all the time. This dog saved my life.”
Now, Morgan, from Manchester, is hoping to return the favour.
She fighting with everything she has to save her Staffy's life after he began suffering seizures.
She is desperately raising funds for an urgent MRI scan, she said.
If she is unable to pay for treatment, she will have to give him up for adoption.
Vets are currently trying to figure out what is causing the seizures.

But this costs money, a lot more than is currently covered by Morgan’s insurance.
“He’s helped me a lot. It's just obviously, recently, a bit heartbroken because it's like if I don't get this money together then I'm going to have to let him go to somebody else, or maybe the Dogs Trust, which I don't really want to do,” said Morgan.
“Because he saved me, but then it's like being selfish to keep him here… because he saved me so I need to save him now.”
Hugo’s seizures started a few weeks ago, and then more recently he had two in the space of four hours.
It is something that affected both Staffy and owner.
He’s now being treated for possible epilepsy but Morgan has been told that it could potentially be a brain tumour, something she won’t know until an MRI.
Morgan said: “He’s just not the same dog. He's just really sad, he seems depressed. He just constantly wants to just chill.
“He just wants to cuddle all the time. I think he knows something's wrong. Obviously after the seizures as well, he was absolutely terrified.
“He doesn't know who I am, he wouldn’t let me near him. He was running away from me, hiding. He was just absolutely terrified and it was traumatic, traumatic for me and him.”
Morgan stayed up through the night with Hugo during his seizures, and she now has a doggy camera to monitor him in case he has more.
It was because of the camera that she was able to see that his second two seizures each lasted for nearly three minutes.
Once he came around, Hugo was very disoriented and paced around the room for two hours.
It was equally hard for Morgan as she was advised not to comfort him in case he bit her in his confused state.
She said: “It's really hard, because obviously I just want to pick him up and hug him. But I can't, I just have to wait for him to come out of it. It’s Just how scared he is afterwards, you know, he's absolutely terrified.”
Having contacted various charities, including Dogs Trust, Morgan now faces losing precious Hugo for good.
If she cannot raise enough money to fund his MRI, she will have no choice but to sign him over to a charity that is able to pay for treatment.
“Basically, once I sign that paperwork, I'll never see him ever again,” said Morgan.
“I just hope to god that I can get it so that he can stay with me, because I don't want to stress him out. And he’s my baby. I don't have kids, he is my actual child.
“I just love him so much… and I just couldn't imagine being without him.”
