Over the last few weeks, TeamDogs and the fabulous Pooch & Mutt food for dogs company, have been asking the nation to vote for their favourite dog breed.
Now, with just a few days to go until the winner is revealed, we've been looking at some of the reasons why you love Black Labradors as much as us.
Abigail Rabbett recently explained why she thought Black Labs should win the title of the UK's best breed.
She said: "Labradors are the best dog breed, it's just a fact. They are energetic, clever, affectionate and make great family pets.
"Or if you're partial to country pursuits, they make excellent working dogs.
"But what's even better than a Labrador? A Black Labrador."
Here are some reasons readers believe Black Labs should be named the UK's favourite breed.
Jenny Convery believes "black Labradors are the best, so intelligent and protective."
Patricia Gartland Sherlock echoed the same viewpoint adding: "They are the very best breed of dog you can have. Our Mac was 12 when he died he was gorgeous loyal so good tempered and loved my four grandkids.
"Nothing ever fazed him miss him 7 years down the line."
Elaine Brimelow explained that she loved Labradors and is looking to rescue another one.
Kim Ca Cr said Labs were amazing because of their loyal, protective and obedient nature.
Andi Forster agreed stating Black labs are always the go to dog for him.
