Dog lost during lockdown wanders into Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital

A dog lost during the coronavirus lockdown caused a stir at the Queen Elizabeth this morning after wandering into the hospital.

The adorable 'Redgie' caught the attention of ambulance staff earlier this morning after making a surprise appearance in a waiting area and "causing mayhem" before being calmed down with a sick bowl full of water and some leftover digestive biscuits.

Redgie has now been handed into the police as an appeal is launched to reunite him with his owner.

Can you help get this cute guy home? (Amy Baldock)

Ambulance worker Amy Baldock, who was finishing up her nightshift at the time, told Glasgow Live: "He wandered into the ambulance bays and was causing mayhem in the waiting area! He's a mental wee thing.

"We give him a bandage lead, a sick bowl for water and a couple of left over digestive biscuits.

"His collar lights were on so it makes me wonder if he has been out all night.

"He's really friendly and well looked after so I imagine his family are so worried."

Our fantastic NHS staff, not just saving lives, but saving dogs too!

It's time to do what you do best Glasgow - can you reunite Redgie with his owner?
