Dog left with wonky face after being attacked by mum finds forever home

His face may be wonky but that didn’t stop rescue dog Brodie from melting the hearts of his new owners.

The German Shepherd Border Collie was born in a rescue shelter but was attacked by his mum when he was only 13 days old.

One side of his face became stunted, which left him partially blind in one eye.

But Amanda Richter, 30, and boyfriend Brad Ames, 23, said it was still "love at first sight".

They beat hundreds of requests to bring him home from Old MacDonald Kennels in Alberta, Canada.

Amanda said: "He’s the happiest pup at the park. We hope to train him to be a therapy dog."

It comes as a mutant goat born with a "human-face" was worshipped as an avatar of God" in a small Indian village.

Locals in Nimodia in Rajasthan, northwest India, were stunned to see the tiny animal with a flat face and eyes which appear remarkably human.

Mukeshji Prajapap, who owns the goat, understands it suffers from a rare congenital defect known as "cyclopia".

It causes genes which, under normal circumstances create facial symmetry, fail to properly express.
