A dog known for her 'bat-like ears' has been waiting 133 days for a new home.
The seven-year-old crossbreed is one of Cheshire Dogs Home longest serving residents without a successful adoption.
She is described as a ‘happy, bouncy girl’ and is best known for her unique features which have led handlers at the home to joke that they wouldn’t be surprised if she starts to fly one day.
However, Skyler is struggling to be rehomed due to the fact she will need an experienced, adult only environment with patient owners.
A spokesperson for the rescue told TeamDogs: “She is a lovely affectionate dog that is happy to have a cuddle in her kennel.
“She is also very intelligent and knows commands such as sit, paw and lie down.
“At the moment, Skyler is frustrated being in here and finds it overwhelming and really would benefit from a forever home.”
The ideal home would be somewhere with active owners who love to go on long walks and explore which offers plenty of stimulation for Skyler.
She is a very vocal dog when she is excited or wants attention, so owners would have to be happy with a certain level of noise.
Unfortunately she is not comfortable around other dogs or pets, and needs further socialisation to help her adjust to encountering other animals while out walking.
Due to her need for some ongoing training even after she has been rehomed, the rescue recommends that she needs an experienced home rather than first time owners.
However, Cheshire Dogs Home said: “She is absolutely full of character and would suit a home where she can be the house clown.”
They added: “We know not every home has what Skyler needs, but whoever is willing to give her the time she needs will have an amazing friend and wonderful memories ahead in return.”
