Dog hotel plan unveiled for North Ayrshire home

A Beith man is seeking council permission to run a small-scale dog hotel from his own home.

John Duncan, of Threepwood Road, wants to provide a boarding service for up to four pooches at any one time.

Clients' dogs would live in the house as if they were Mr Duncan's own pets, according to documents lodged with North Ayrshire Council.

No outdoor kennels or dog runs are required for the proposal.

And no interior or exterior alterations would be made to existing buildings or the garden at the Gateside of Fullwoodhead property.

Planners will now consider granting Mr Duncan a certificate of lawfulness to allow him to operate the proposed business.
