Dog found on Ayrshire street reunited with owner after being stolen from garden 250 miles away

A stolen dog was found on an Ayrshire street after being stolen hundred miles away in Doncaster.

West Highland Terrier Razzi was reunited with his owner following a Facebook campaign shared across the UK.

The drama unfolded when the pooch was pinched from a garden in Yorkshire last month.

Three weeks later Razzi was found a member of the public and given to North Ayrshire Council 's dog warden service by police.

An appeal put out on social media to find out who he belonged to was shared hundreds of times after being picked up by missing dogs websites.

Owner Lavinia Barclay was thrilled when she spotted her beloved pooch and immediately made the six-hour journey north to Ayrshire for an emotional reunion at Southfield Kennels, Mauchline, where Razzi had been staying since he was found.

She said: “It’s a long way to take him, whoever took him.

“There are 10 grandchildren and they have missed him so it will be great to take him home.”
