A dog has been found abandoned outside Tesco on Sauchiehall Street.
Sean Crawford, who works at the city centre supermarket, last night shared a photo of the dog, a rottweiler, as an appeal is launched to trace the owner.
The pup, who has a docked tail, has in the meantime been taken in by Vets Now Hospital while the police have also been informed.
Sean said: "Tonight while on shift, a dog was abandoned outside my store (Tesco Metro, 236 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow).
"If anyone recognizes this dog, please contact Vets Now Hospital on 0141 328 7513. We have taken the dog to the local vets until they figure out information for the dog. They will most likely call the SSPCA when they reopen in the morning.
"What you can't tell from this picture is that the rottweiler has a docked tail.
"Thanks to my team at Tesco Metro Sauchiehall Street for helping the dog."
