This adorable dog was killed by heinous thugs who inserted a lit firework into its bottom.
The pooch, named Kiro, was discovered mutilated four days after the distressing ordeal.
Volunteers at Friends of the Animals (Prijatelji Zivotinja), an animal welfare charity, were helpless to save the dog.
Now the charity is urging people everywhere to report instances of animal cruelty to the police.
In a statement, it said it was desperately appealing the public "to report all incidents of animal abuse, torture and negligence".
Disgusted social media users meanwhile blasted the sick gang online.
"This can only be carried out by psychos. The person should have done it to themselves," one person posted.
Another added: "They should find the culprit and do the same to him".
More than 30,000 web users have signed a petition to wage a campaign against the use of firecrackers in the region of Croatia.
Firecrackers can be used as horrific weapons of torture for helpless animals, but their explosions also distress pets.
In the UK, firefighters warned about the misuse of fireworks over the festive period.
