Dog attack warning as owner shares video of beloved pet in shock after ordeal in Belfast park

A dog owner has shared the horrifying moment her dog collapsed in shock after he was attacked in a Belfast park.

Cooper the Labradoodle was being walked in Cherryvale park when an off-lead German Shepherd wearing a soft muzzle set upon him.

His owner posted a video of Cooper after the attack, showing obvious signs of shock and distress.

She said: "I took Cooper for a walk in Cherryvale as I do every evening, but unfortunately a German Shepherd that was muzzled attacked him.

"The owner did nothing, he just stood back and said, 'he’s just excited', but Cooper was petrified and actually went into total shock.

"The owner of the German Shepard came over, put the lead on the dog and proceeded to walk away even though I was on my knees trying to reassure my pup.

"Another dog walker had witnessed everything."
