'Doesn't seem logical' Nottingham Forest fans question Joe Worrall transfer speculation

Nottingham Forest fans have been reacting to the rumour that Joe Worrall is being targeted by Newcastle United.

have said that the Premier League side see Worrall as a cut price option with his contract set to expire in the summer.

However, Worrall signed a new four-and-half year contract in October 2017, meaning his deal in fact runs until 2022.

Worrall had previously been linked with Crystal Palace and Burnley before falling out of favour under Aitor Karanka.

Forest fans have been reacting to the latest speculation, here is a selection of what they had to say.

Mark Ryan: “If Harry McGuire is worth £80million Worrall is worth £100million at his ease.”

Keith Belshaw: “Too good for the Geordies and anyway why would he go to a team that'll be in the Championship again next season?”

Dave Astbury: “Why would our Joe drop down a level to play for Newcastle? Doesn't seem logical.”

Gail Wyatt: “Why would he want to go to Newcastle and leave the club he loves.”

James Stringer: “No chance we would accept a bid or he would want to leave.”

Carl Wright: “He won’t be going anywhere, loves the club and want to play for us in the top tier. Going there would ruin his career.”

Neil Gallagher: “They don’t have enough money.”

Daren Barrs: “Joe is red through and through, loves the club future captain and future legend!”
