'Doesn't make sense' - Chelsea slammed over transfer business with Bristol City

After a period of inactivity, Bristol City are suddenly making waves in this transfer window.

The Robins this week announced the signing of Jay Dasilva, with Tomas Kalas expected to follow shortly.

Both players were on loan from Chelsea last season, and there are also strong rumours that the third of the Blues' loanees, Kasey Palmer, could return to Ashton Gate, too.

The Robins activated a clause in Dasilva's loan deal to sign him on a permanent basis after a very strong season at Ashton Gate.

Radio presenter Adrian Durham says he is stunned that the Blues were willing to let him go.

He said: "What puzzles me about it is this: if they’ve got these youth players, young players, Chelsea and Frank Lampard and Jody Morris are being taken back to the club, surely the youth players, especially with the transfer embargo, are part of the programme.

"But here Chelsea have said ‘yeah it’s alright, you can go’.

"He’s so highly-rated, he looks so good, and having won so much as a youth with Chelsea, I can’t get my head around it.

"For me it doesn’t make any sense.

"If there are Chelsea fans fuming about it, I can understand it."
