Neighbours aired horrifying scenes on Channel 5 on Tuesday night, as the 35th anniversary led to fears a soap legend had been killed off.
Toadie, real name Jarrod 'Toadfish' Rebecchi, was brutally attacked by killer Finn Kelly - whacked over the head with a huge rock and left to drown.
After Toadie rumbled Bea was missing, following her own brutal attack, Finn decided to silence him in the most cruel of ways.
Finn slammed a rock over his head twice, before placing his body in a small boat and setting him off to sea - also breaking a hole in the boat so that Toadie would drown.
Viewers were mortified over Finn's actions, with many saying he had gone too far.
The special late-night episodes of the Australian soap, Neighbours Endgame, have encouraged more raunchy and violent scenes to the usual daytime episodes.
But fans were not expecting to see such violence on the show, especially were Toadie was concerned.
Some of the show's characters are on a supposedly abandoned island for a camping trip, with Finn wreaking havoc.
His evil ways are yet to be discovered, while Bea learned the hard way when boyfriend Finn shoved her down a mine shaft and left her to die - wanting to reunite with her sister Elly.
Toadie was looking for a missing Bea, who Finn had claimed had left the island, and was shocked to discover the boat she apparently fled in on the beach.
It's then that Finn took action and hit him over the head with a giant rock, before telling him he needed him out the way.
Finn then did it again, before pushing an unconscious and bleeding Toadie out to sea in the boat,
Fearful fans, knowing three characters would die, questioned if Toadie would survive, with one fan writing: "I CANNOT UNSEE WHAT YOU JUST DID TO POOR TOADIE!!"
Another tweeted: "I swear to God if they kill Toadie DAYS after the anniversary of Sonya's death I will never recover."
A third said: "Toadie! No! Ooh, Finn’s comeuppance better be equally brutal."
This was echoed by another fan who wrote: "OMG!! No not Toadie."
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1:45pm and 5:30pm, with the late night specials all this week at 10pm on Channel 5.
