Does The Punisher: One Last Kill have a post-credits scene?

Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle in The Punisher: One Last Kill.

Frank Castle is back, baby, and he's about to make his first MCU appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The new special, Punisher: One Last Kill, shows us what Frank was up to after Daredevil: Born Again season 1... but is there a post-credits scene? Does it lead us into Brand New Day?

As a seasoned Marvel fan, you might find yourself wondering if you should be the last person to leave the theater... and trust me, we get that. We've answered all your questions below and included a brief explainer as to how Punisher: One Last Kill sets up Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Warning: there are plenty of spoilers below. Before scrolling ahead, be sure to watch Punisher: One Last Kill on Disney Plus, and check out our Punisher: One Last Kill review while you're at it.

Does Punisher: One Last Kill have a post-credits scene?

In short: no. There is no post-credits scene at the end of Punisher: One Last Kill (though you should absolutely stick around for the song that plays over the credits, as the special has a 10/10 soundtrack).

The final scene of the special sees Frank back in full Punisher mode, wearing his signature shirt and knifing down that absolutely evil dog-killer.

How does The Punisher: One Last Kill lead into Spider-Man: Brand New Day?

When we saw Frank Castle again Daredevil: Born Again season 1, he wasn't exactly keen on putting the shirt back on and getting back out on the streets. In the trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, we see him donning the costume and driving a tank through New York City. We don't know how much time there is between One Last Kill and Brand New Day, as the special doesn't tell us how he got mixed up with Peter Parker.

All we really know is that, at the end of Punisher: One Last Kill, Frank says to himself, "Maybe I'm gonna keep going, huh?" And that's after fending off Ma Gnucci's goons and saving a family and their daughter (who reminds him of his murdered daughter Lisa). After he starts reciting Lisa's favorite nursery rhyme, we cut to him back in the Punisher fit, ready to kill Johnny the dog-killer. That's where the special leaves off, letting us know that by the time Frank reaches Peter Parker... he's back to being a lean, mean, killing machine, and one with a renewed purpose, at that.

The Punisher: One Last Kill is streaming on Disney Plus. For more on the MCU, here's our guide to how to watch all the Marvel movies in order.
