Does S Tyrann Mathieu want WR Antonio Brown to join the Texans?

The Houston Texans have an All-Pro wide receiver in DeAndre Hopkins, but safety Tyrann Mathieu may want the club to add another.

On Tuesday, the All-Pro safety subtweeted Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Antonio Brown, who recently has intimated that his time in the Steel City may be over, and said that he should play wherever the Honey Badger is playing in 2019.

Mathieu is technically a free agent. Therefore, the tweet could mean that Mathieu would like to team up with Brown in another NFL city. However, when a Texans fan asked where Mathieu would be playing, the 26-year-old clarified what he meant by “where I go, you go.”

Conclusion: Mathieu wants Brown to play in Houston.

While the idealism of having quarterback Deshaun Watson throw to his choice of All-Pro receivers is fascinating, the reality is Brown is currently under the rights of the Steelers. Houston would have to part with draft picks, expensive picks at that, along with taking on Brown’s salary. If it did happen, Watson would have a receiving tandem greater than Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison.
