Sony award-winning Christian O'Connell made his debut on Virgin Radio today with a mixture of Bon Jovi, Oasis and wacky listener competitions.
Virgin bosses hope the former Xfm DJ will do what his predecessors in the breakfast hot seat have failed to do and put the station on the map.
London listeners will already know O'Connell from his stint on indie rock station Xfm, where he built up a small but loyal following. But what he lacked in audience he made up for in awards, bagging a hat-trick of Sonys at last year's event.
