Irish actor Paul Mescal has been catapulted into fame with his brilliant portrayal of Connell in new hit series Normal People.
The 24-year-old from Co Kildare has the lead role in the BBC production which has led him to being the dream man of many out there.

He said: "The only way out for me, in my head, was to fake a phone call and pretend that my friend was in hospital.
"I got off the phone — I thought I had given my greatest performance — and said, 'Oh my friend is in hospital, I have to go'."
